Lost Weekend: News

Come and witness the birth of an Egg™ Chair

On the 1st March 2012, you will not only be able to get close to the Egg, one of the world’s most famous and classic pieces of furniture, you will also get a rare and exclusive insight into the making of this master-piece, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958.

Hans Mannerhagen, the Master upholsterer for Fritz Hansen, who sews the Egg by hand using 1200 stitches per Egg chair, will be coming to Lost Weekend to take us into the world of supreme craftsmanship.

This is also a unique opportunity to learn more about the different types of leather Fritz Hansen uses, and to, if you wish, hand-pick a beautiful Sorensen leather hide to be sewn onto your own Egg, making this the ultimate Eggexperience at Lost Weekend.

Drinks will be served from 6pm followed by a presentation and stitching session from Hans at 7pm. If you would like to receive an invitation please do join our mailing list at the top of this page. We look forward to welcoming you then.
