Panton took in his environment and regarded everything as a source of inspiration for his designs. The Fun lamp designed in 1964 is a great example for his exceptional attention to detail. In this lamp, he combines nature, beauty and functionality, resulting in a design piece that appeals to all the senses.
Manufactured from numerous mother-of-pearl seashells, the Verpan Fun 10DM pendant lamp has a natural and delicate appearance that creates a beautiful light show. Like chimes, the small discs also produce a soft sound when blown in the wind that has a wonderful calming effect.
Organised into chains of different length, the discs hang from four brass metal rings that conceal the actual light source. Because of its fragile and graceful appearance, the Fun lamp is also given the nickname Mother of Pearl.

The Fun pendant is available to order in various sizes in brass, as well as in chrome.
